Prior to joining Udacity in 2015, Alper was a serial entrepreneur in Europe, acting as founder & CEO of several startups, including AlfaPeople, Mekanist.net, and BlaBlaCar TR.

On November 12, 2019, Udacity announced the Intel® Edge AI Scholarship Program to train professional developers in next generation skills for Computer vision and AI at the edge. Today, we are proud to share that the Intel® Edge AI for IoT Developers Nanodegree program is now open for enrollment to all. The 850 Intel® Edge AI Scholarship Program recipients will be joining the premiere class of this program as well. The Intel® Edge AI Fundamentals with OpenVINO™ free course is now also open for enrollment to all students.

Today, we are proud to announce our new Hybrid Cloud Nanodegree program, developed in collaboration with Nutanix to expand cloud and engineering skills. Our partnership with cloud computing software leader Nutanix has enabled us to thoughtfully produce a Nanodegree program that will enhance learning opportunities in the emerging cloud technologies — essential to any organization upleveling its IT infrastructure. To ensure this Nanodegree program is accessible to all interested participants, we are also opening 10,000 applications to a Hybrid Cloud Scholarship Program.

Today, we are excited to announce our newest offering to expand students’ machine learning deep learning skills: the DeepRacer Scholarship Challenge from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
This new scholarship program will enable students to acquire skills in machine learning and test their skills in the world’s first autonomous racing league – the AWS DeepRacer League. Top performing students in the DeepRacer League will also have the opportunity to earn their way to a full scholarship to the Machine Learning Nanodegree program with Udacity.
This new scholarship program, announced at F8, the Facebook Developer Conference in San Jose, will enable students to acquire skills in Federated Learning, Differential Privacy, and Encrypted Computation with the benefit of robust community support from Udacity. You will learn how to use the newest privacy-preserving technologies, such as OpenMined’s PySyft. PySyft extends PyTorch and other deep learning tools with the cryptographic and distributed technologies necessary to safely and securely train AI models on distributed private data while maintaining users’ privacy. Students will also have the opportunity to earn their way to a full scholarship to either the Deep Learning Nanodegree program or the Computer Vision Nanodegree program with Udacity.
