One of the greatest benefits of an online learning program is the ability to tailor learning experiences that support the differing needs and goals of students in widely varying circumstances. This can run the gamut from offering offline content to counteract connectivity issues, to creating scholarships to support those facing financial obstacles, to providing anytime classroom access for those balancing education against work and family commitments.
Lifelong learners from anywhere in the word can come to Udacity and engage in focused learning that supports the realization of their career goals and life dreams.
Accelerated Blended Learning: Combining the Online & Physical Classroom
Flexibility and focus are two of the most important benefits a model like Udacity’s can offer, and with the addition of a blended learning offering—Udacity Connect—we can now add efficiency to this list as well. We know that students who embrace a blended learning approach successfully complete their Nanodegree programs on average more than 30% faster than those students working strictly online.
On the heels of our groundbreaking launch of Udacity Connect Reno-Tahoe, we are now very excited to share details of Udacity Connect: Bay Area!
We are in a remarkable era. Emerging technologies are reshaping everything from transportation to healthcare to manufacturing, and more. This impacts how we learn, how we work, and how companies discover and hire talent. Udacity is committed to connecting learning to jobs in this new economy, and together with some of the most forwarding-thinking organizations and companies in the world, we are developing new, agile, and effective ways to train workforces for the jobs of today, tomorrow, and beyond.
Across the U.S., local communities are taking it upon themselves to find innovative new ways to create local job opportunities, to skill up local talent, and to encourage the growth of tech sectors in their regions. Udacity is extremely excited to help spearhead such an effort in Nevada, specifically in the Reno-Lake Tahoe region. This first-of-its-kind effort represents a collaborative public and private partnership with local employers as well as workforce and economic development entities, including the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) and the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN).
Making a decision about your education, your career, and your future is one of the biggest life choices you can make, and enrolling in a Nanodegree program is exactly that kind of decision—it’s about about your education, your career, and your future. You don’t choose lightly, and it’s important you have a clear understanding of what’s involved. So how does a Nanodegree program work?
In January we launched the Nanodegree Plus program, our moon shot “job guarantee” that directly connects students to jobs. Come to Udacity to get an education to get a job or receive 100 percent of your tuition back.
Today, we are continuing in this direction with our launch of Udacity Connect. Udacity Connect, or UConnect, is a brand-new program where Nanodegree and Nanodegree Plus students can visit physical locations weekly in their neighborhood to work with peers and get face-to-face guidance with goal setting and hitting key milestones.
